Senior VP, WSP


James Walsh is an accomplished senior executive whose extensive experience gives him comprehensive understanding of how companies operate, engage with customers, and interact with world markets.  Jim has applied his know-how to businesses of every size, from small startups to multi-billion dollar global corporations, and in a wide range of industries. His career includes experience in: Engineering, High Tech, Construction, Diversified Health Care (Pharma, Med/Surge, Diagnostics, and Consumer Products), Telecommunications, Financial Services, Health Insurance, Management Consulting, and Media and Entertainment. He has also worked in range of business models, including:  Startups, Angel Investing, Venture Capital (VC), M&A, IPO, and global executive management, and he has background in financial, technology, and P&L management, both as an innovator/founder and as an executive.

In addition to those credentials, Mr. Walsh has also held nearly every functional role at the executive level; he has lead Operations, Marketing, Business Development and Technology teams. With the breadth and depth of knowledge acquired from these cumulative experiences, Jim helps companies grow by increasing revenue and scaling operations to increase EBITDA. He applies his deep technical knowledge to advise companies on addressing the growing threat of cyber security and managing risk. Meanwhile, his background civil infrastructure, building technology, and environmental monitoring provides Jim with the strategic insight to leverage the Internet of Things (IOT), complex analytics, and big data to create value for customers and shareholders alike.

Jim currently serves on two advisory boards while operating a management consulting and angel investment firm. That firm serves two types of clients: medium and large firms that need to grow EBITDA and integrate globally, and startups and small firms that need to raise money, grow revenues, and scale operations to create shareholder value.  Jim has held executive management position at WSP, AECOM, Earth Tech, Tyco, Johnson & Johnson, AT&T, Oracle, Fair Isaac, and eLoyalty in varying roles including: P&L, Financial, Operational and Technical Management.   Finally, Mr. Walsh was a founding member of four software technology firms that provided commercial software solutions and utilities to business customers.

James Walsh obtained a Bachelors of Business Administration in Finance and Business Law from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
